The story behind Control Your Shop

Meet the Founder

Control Your Shop didn't start in a boardroom. It started on the other side of the needle, sitting in a chair, watching the same frustrations play out again and again.

The collector's perspective

Erik Elliott is the founder of Control Your Shop, a brand born from AilphaOmega. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he now lives in Jersey City, New Jersey where he's called home for almost five years.

By day he works in Digital Marketing & Operations Administration at The National Notary Association, the leading notary supplier in the country, building complex enterprise-grade systems. He saw firsthand how automation could eliminate friction between clients and businesses, and he recognized the same gaps in the tattoo industry he'd experienced as a collector.

He's not a tattoo artist. He's a collector. Every piece of ink he wears came from a real human conversation, a consultation, a back-and-forth that was harder than it needed to be, more often than not. Late DMs, unanswered pricing questions, consultations that took three different apps to schedule. The experience of wanting great work shouldn't come with a side of logistical chaos.

Why Control Your Shop exists

Erik lives at the intersection of two things he's genuinely obsessed with: tattooing and technology. For years he watched these two worlds speak completely different languages. Artists focused on the craft, as they should, while the business side fell through the cracks. Missed leads. No-shows. Reviews that went unanswered for weeks.

He built Control Your Shop to be the bridge. Not another app for artists to learn. Not more software. A service that takes the tools shops already use (texting, Instagram DMs, booking forms) and wires them into a system that runs on its own. So artists can focus on tattooing while the automation handles the noise.

The mission is simple

Make it easier to find a shop, book a session, and walk out the door with great ink without the headache. Whether you're a solo artist running your books from your phone or a full shop managing multiple artists, Control Your Shop makes sure no inquiry, no appointment, and no aftercare follow-up slips through the cracks.
